Traxx is proud to announce the first of it's 10th anniversary shows and will be making sure we bring you at least one or two more throughout the year.

Pivo Pivo on Waterloo Street provides us with a change of scenery for this outing. Small and intimate surroundings with a brand new sound system — what more could you ask for?

The residents are joined this time by than none other than local favourite, Jim Hutchison. Jim is a veteran of the Glasgow clubbing community having played at some of the biggest events in Scotland including Pressure and the mighty Slam Tent at T In The Park, as well as some of the more intimate venues around town.

Formerly of Soma Records, where he took care of press and promotions, he now focuses on his own label — Hum+Haw — with his partner in crime Alex Smoke. This new Glasgow-based label looks to showcase the best of up-and-coming local talent as well as their international counterparts.

Jim's DJing style encompasses many genres from techno and house to electro and dubstep. The latter has inspired him to produce some of his own material which will appearing on the Hum+Haw imprint over the coming year.

it will be kicked off with big one courtesy Hijacked Records.

The last Saturday of every month will be graced by Hijacked's

artists showcasing their talents, PLUS!! it's FREE entrance.

HIJACKED RECORDS is an independent record label based in Glasgow, Scotland. The label was formed in 2003. The first HIJACKED RECORDS single by Raising Kain (then known as KAIN) HJ001 featuring 'Baby Am Amazed' (backed with Daddy Daddy and Satellite). The single sold out it's 2000 copies and drew universal aclaim. HIJACKED RECORDS full promotion of the release through press and events across the UK resulted in raising the profile of the band, which led to their signing in August 2004 by Warner offshoot RUSHMORE RECORDS. The experience with RAISING KAIN has formed a template for work with other artists and typifies the close working relationship HIJACKED cultivates with its roster. (Now alas we are sorry to report that as of January 2006 raising KAIN are no longer and that the band have decided to split up) They will be sadly missed. HIJACKED RECORDS second project was that of an album from another hugely popular Glasgow based band called 'THE PEOPLE' the self-titled album HJ002 released in January 2005 featured the fusion of Folk, Blues and Roots music. "probably Glasgow's Hardest working band" THE PEOPLE are now set to release vastly anticipated new material as well as continue to develop their sound, searching for new soundscapes and writing songs that will continue to draw on the success of their previous material. HJ003 Was that of Local boys done good 'THE RONELLES' and their single 'Ol Horses Eyes' (re-release is on the way). Wearing their influences proudly on their sleeves as well as providing solid tunes and flawless musicianship The Ronelles have conquered venue after venue as well as winning the hearts of audiences nation wide. . This year 2006 HIJACKED are very busy . At this very moment in time ADAM BEATTIE is putting the finishing touches to his AMAZING new album - this will be released march 20th. .THE SKY AT NIGHT have also been busy little bees finishing off their video montage wich will acompany the release of their HOPE FOR DUMMIES to be released at the beginning of april. There will also be tour dates to be announced. The Apple Scruff's "Danielle" released through HJ proved to be a success, so much so that Mercury Records are now on the verge of signing them. ZAPOI (formerly known as THE MONEY SHOT) have their recordings done and dusted for an imminent release...watch this (my)space...for post punk bedlam! . YOU ALREADY KNOW will also be recording their 7" single at the lavish FORTH ST STUDIOS at the begining of march for an early summer release. . and as said THE PEOPLE will be ensconced in the studio to record their follow up to their eponymous debut at the beginning of april...it'll be a BELTER!!! for your viewing pleasure check this video from THE GEMS for their debut single AUTOMATIC PUSHER LIFE to be released on 7" in march!!!!!!!

Come and join us at Pivo Pivo for our official Soco Social Mardi Gras. There will be masks, beads and free drink, it all starts @ 9pm - 1am with dj's Jon Pleased & Mash, Plus the Flyin Jalapenos doing break dancing shows and Martin Bongo playing live percussion. There will be two free cocktails for every person that comes down for the show.
